The mission of NAIAMVB and these conferences shall be to promote the positive ideals and objectives of athletics, to provide an organization of colleges with similar foundations to engage in athletic contests on an equal basis, to serve as a forum to formulate guidelines and solve common problems, to enhance and preserve athletics in their true perspective, to promote athletics in an academic environment. This conference shall facilitate the purposes of intercollegiate sports and further the learning goals of its member institutions.

Matt Depauw earned this week's NAIA MVB Setter of the Week

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – For the second time in three week’s, Lourdes University’s CJ Rilveria earned the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Libero of the Week award, announced on Monday afternoon.

Joining him as the NAIA Player and Setter of the Week award winners include Graceland’s Steven Roschtiz and Clarke’s Matt DePauw respectively.

Rilveria and the Lourdes Gray Wolves went 2-0 last week and the junior averaged 4.67 digs and had a perfect passing percentage.

Roschtiz and the Yellowjackets are winners of 13-straight matches. The senior helped lead Graceland to a 4-0 week last week with his 4.6 kills per set and .471 hitting percentage.

Depauw and the No. 3 ranked Clarke Crusaders are a perfect 9-0 on the season and posted a 4-0 mark in the Tachikara Invitational hosted by Park University. The junior setter averaged 10.8 assists per set in those four matches and averaged 1.14 digs.

Graceland has won 13-straight matches

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – After capturing its thirteenth-straight victory, the Graceland University (Iowa) men’s volleyball team jumped up to No. 4 in this week’s NAIA Men’s Volleyball Top 10 poll, announced on Monday.

The Jackets are currently 14-1 overall and 1-1 in the NAIA North after rolling through the Tachikara Invitational hosted by Park University (Mo.). They picked up wins over Morningside (Iowa), Ottawa (Kan.), Dordt (Iowa) and then-No. 7 ranked Park.

Spots 1-3 remained unchanged from a week ago. No. 1 Missouri Baptist, No. 2 Grand View (Iowa) and No. 3 Clarke (Iowa) all kept its same spot.

Missouri Baptist is a perfect 10-0 on the season, while Grand View stands at 6-3 and Clarke is 9-0.

No. 5 Park jumped up two spots this week after hosting the Tachikara Invitational. The Pirates went 2-2 at that tournament with losses to Clarke and Graceland, but defeated then-No. 4 Culver-Stockton (Mo.) and No. 6 ranked Warner (Florida). The Pirates are 4-5 overall on the season.

Warner went 3-1 at the Tachikara Invite with wins over Ottawa, Morningside and Dordt.

St. Ambrose (Iowa) bumped up a spot to No. 7 this week with a 3-0 week with wins over Calumet College of St. Joseph (Indiana), St. Xavier (Ill.) and Quincy.

Lourdes (Ohio) also leaped a spot to No. 8 this week. The Gray Wolves are now 7-1 on the year and are winners of five-straight matches.

No. 9 Culver-Stockton fell five spots this week after its 2-2 mark at the Park tournament.

Robert Morris enters the Top 10 this week. The Eagles are 12-3 on the season and took No. 1 Missouri Baptist to four sets before falling the Spartans on Feb. 5.
